hello i am MasterTech and i am new in SQL DataBase Management. I am trying to connect my database over the internet and i watched a video which i tried to follow the steps but i quikly discorvered so many things where wrong with my computer. 1) As I opened SQL Configuration Manager i had this error: enter image description here

But i solved the problem by going to C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\140 and i copied the "shared" folder and pasted it in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\110 befor oppening the cmd line prompt and executed the command "mofcomp « % ProgramFiles% (x86) %\Microsoft SQL Server\110\Shared\sqlmgmproviderxpsp2up.mof »" and finally to apply the changes i whent to task manager and opened the "Services" beforrestarting the WMI as shown below: enter image description here When i executed "Sql Configuration Manager" again it seamed to be ok but i quikly realised some things where lacking. They are no 64bits Options and the "sql server network configuration" has no option in it. These can be seen on the image below: enter image description here

What can i do to solve this problem? Please Someone HelpMe!

2)I cannot configure my port forwarding on my browser siince i seem to have no gateway. How can i do it?

It seems you have SQL Server 2017 installed. Try running %systemroot%\System32\SqlServerManger14.msc. The latest installed version can be used to manage all supported SQL Server versions. Personally, I would not expose SQL Server over the public internet. – Dan Guzman Apr 10 at 11:40
