Server A is SQL Server 2008 R2 Enterprise which has SSRS installed. I have migrated across the reporting database, reporting tempdb, etc.

On Server B is SQL Server 2017 standard edition with SSRS. I get an error during start-up on Server b stating:

library!WindowsService_0!35b8!05/20/2019-11:23:21:: e ERROR: Throwing Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.OperationNotSupportedException: , Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.OperationNotSupportedException: The feature: "Scale-out deployment" is not supported in this edition of Reporting Services.;
library!WindowsService_0!35b8!05/20/2019-11:23:21:: e ERROR: ServiceStartThread: Exception caught while starting service. Error: Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.OperationNotSupportedException: The feature: "Scale-out deployment" is not supported in this edition of Reporting Services.
library!WindowsService_0!35b8!05/20/2019-11:23:21:: e ERROR: ServiceStartThread: Attempting to start service again...

I have migrated across the encryption keys and tried to disable scale-out on server A following the instructions listed here:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/reporting-services/install-windows/add-and-remove-encryption-keys-for-scale-out-deployment?view=sql-server-2017

which basically entailed running rskeymgt with the installation ID and then restarting SSRS.

All this resulted in was me being unable to access the SSRS reports on server A.

How do I disable the scale-out feature from both servers, and the migrate my non-scaled-out SSRS to server B?
