We rebooted our sql server 2016 machine. SSIS jobs that have been running fine are now unable to connect to access dbs. it throws the error:

"XXXXX:Error: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_OLEDBERROR. An OLE DB error has occurred. Error Code 0x8007045A.
An OLE DB record is available. Source "Microsoft OLE DB Service Components" hresult: 0x8007054A
Description: "A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed.

The is on a vmware vm - Widows 2012

  • I looked up 0x8007054A in Microsoft's Err utility. The only entry returned points to ERROR_INVALID_DOMAIN_ROLE - is there some issue with your Active Directory Domain Controller? – Max Vernon Jun 10 '19 at 19:42
  • could be, I will bring it up to our sysops guys. However, the clone of this server is not having the same problem, so I don't think I am going to get that lucky. – ErnieM Jun 10 '19 at 22:00
  • Clone? how did you clone it? Was it cloned before or after the problem? – Max Vernon Jun 10 '19 at 23:57
  • it was a vmware clone from about 4 months ago, well before the problem. – ErnieM Jun 13 '19 at 23:22
