I need to create a new instance in an existing installation in 11gr2, but despite having configured the variables of the new instance, executing the dbca does not start, and no error message is generated. I am running it from another machine, and I previously executed the DISPLAY export as follows DISPLAY = {my ip}: 0.0; export screen; Any idea why the dbca doesn't work, or where can I see if you send me an error message. Verify that the process is not correct with a ps -efa 1 grep dbca and does not give me results.

  • what operating system and what do the install logs show? – kevinsky Jul 23 at 15:22
