Swisscom recommends the use of https://github.com/swisscom/backman/ to do backups of MySQL instances.

It is common to have multiple spaces in a cloudfoundry organisation and have a DB instance in each of the spaces.

For our DB instances we have setup a dedicated MySQL cluster from the CF Marketplace and created DBs in each space. Unfortunate these DBs can not be shared to other spaces (error: The mysql-database service does not support service instance sharing.), therefore we are not able to access all DB instances from one central 'backman' instance.

Because backman will run about 95% idle, it seems like a waste of resources to run a separate backman instance in each of the spaces. Is there any other way we can use 'backman' as a central backup service?
