We have been running several instances in the past: PUC and PST. Access to PUC is still working but recently I tried to access the PST instance and we get the following message from Listener:

D:\app\swtoracle\product\12.1.0\dbhome_1\BIN>lsnrctl services pst

LSNRCTL for 64-bit Windows: Version 12.1.0.2.0 - Production on 14-FEB-2020 13:13

Any ideas why it does not appear to see the PST instance?

  • The simplest explanation is that the PST instance is not started. Another explanation could be that the local_listener parameter in the PST instance is set to a value that causes the instance to attempt to register to a different or unknown address. – Balazs Papp Feb 15 at 5:02
