After migrate from asmlib to asm filter drive using the Doc ID 2172754.1 the ASM Filter drive not start automatically and I always need configure again using asmcmd afd_configure command to start it again.

What can be the possible reason for it?

Here is the current status of asm filter drive after rebooting the machine:

[root@server1 ~]# asmcmd afd_state
ASMCMD-9530: The AFD state is 'INSTALLED'
[root@server1 ~]#

I can start normally after issue the command asmcmd afd_configure

[root@server1 ~]# asmcmd afd_configure

  • Try to locate the driver oracleafd.ko, check output of lsmod, also CRS should mention whether this module is loaded during startup or not
