If I do a startup restrict on the primary database, does this state effect the standby? In particular, I am interested in two things:
Does it do anything to hinder archivelog shipment to the standby, or do the logs continue to flow just at a reduced rate due to the limited activity?
Is this state in any way transferred to the standby? If I were to stop the archive log apply after this the primary is in restricted session and open the standby database with alter database open, would it be in restricted session?
