OS: Windows 10 Professional / DBMS: Oracle 18c XE

How would one approach the issue of losing a connection while shutting down the database? I would like to have one script which deletes datafilepaths inside the dbms, shuts down the database, deletes the datafiles on OS-level and then starts up the database again and "detects" when its running again to create new tablespaces.

Is there a way to do that?

  • Can you use Oracle Managed Files or does this not exist in XE? Aug 26 '20 at 7:10
  • I have not used OMF before and am not sure if one can use it in XE but I do know that it should'nt be possible to delete a file that is in use. Aug 26 '20 at 13:13
