I have 142 SQL databases on Azure. There are using Standard Elastic Pool (100 eDTUs). Azure Portal recommended an index for one my database. It says disk space needed is 1045.19 MB.

enter image description here

Azure portal offers that index for 14 out of 142 impacted databases. enter image description here

I created that index and it's size is only 8960 KB. My Index Size measurement script is :

DECLARE @TableName sysname = N'PosItemStoreOverrideMaps';

SELECT i.name AS IndexName
      ,8 * SUM(s.used_page_count) AS IndexSizeKB
FROM sys.indexes AS i
    INNER JOIN sys.dm_db_partition_stats AS s
        ON i.[object_id] = s.[object_id] AND i.index_id = s.index_id
WHERE s.[object_id] = OBJECT_ID(@TableName, N'U')
GROUP BY i.name
ORDER BY i.name;

I want to understand why it says 1045.19 MB.
