I've been trying to improve an SSIS ETL package to see if I could get better throughput.

I was trying to change the buffer settings as per this link, and thought i'd try using a newer driver/provider.

The package is now failing. On 1 table containing 4500 rows, the Dataflow is rejecting ~1/3rd of the data. The error message provided is:

SSIS Error Code DTS_E_PRIMEOUTPUTFAILED. The PrimeOutput method on Import data from Source Table returned error code 0xC02020C4. The component returned a failure code when the pipeline engine called PrimeOutput(). The meaning of the failure code is defined by the component, but the error is fatal and the pipeline stopped executing. There may be error messages posted before this with more information about the failure.

In this case only thing changed is the Provider from Native Client to OLE Db. The tables, data and package are otherwise unchanged.

The table contains, varchars, ints, nvarchars(nn), nvarchar(max), geometry, bits and datetimes. Are any of these incompatible with the OLE Db Provider?
