I have SQL Server 2017 instance with many databases, as an example, I have a database on this instant called DB_A
, and I want to create a SQL Server user account to log in to this database (I will take the user name as User_A
).
When I log in to an instance using this User_A
account, it should only see DB_A
- the user should not see other databases on this instance (hide other databases from User_A
account).
I know the method to do this:
- User_A set as an owner in this DB_A
- Tick 'deny View all databases' in Public role
The issue is doing this user can have full control of this database but I want to give only table access to these users.
Specially I want to block access to the Programmability subfolder
Can anyone help me with this?
