I am performing a backup on MySQL 8.0.26 which needs to include all routines, triggers, events etc. in order to be fully recoverable.

The command I am using:

/usr/bin/mysqldump -u $MUSER -p$MPASS DBname --single-transaction --routines --events  --quick --compact | gzip -9 > dbfile.gz

Unfortunatelly this does not include routines:

grep "create procedure" dbfile.sql # after gz deflate

I tried to grant rights to the user:

grant select on mysql.proc to dump@localhost;

But it apears that this does no longer exist in MySQL 8.x

How can the procedures be backed up successfully? (there is by the way no error message)
