I am trying to use SSIS to extract data from an Oracle database. My environment is:

SQL Server 2019 Developer Edition

Visual Studio Community 2019 CU 16

SQL Server Integration Services 16.0.845.0

SQL Server Data Tools 16.0.62205.05200

According to https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/sql-server-integration-services/general-availability-of-microsoft-connector-for-oracle/ba-p/1385558, all I need to do to start using SSIS with Oracle is to download and install the connector (and I've installed both the 32-bit and 64-bit connectors). That's clearly not good enough, since the Oracle Source and Oracle Destination tasks don't show up in the SSIS Toolbox. I've seen some additional advice about installing the connector on both the database server and the client running VS (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=100809) and on setting the project's TargetServerVersion to SQL Server 2019 and Run64BitRuntime to true. I've done all this and am still not seeing the Oracle tasks in the SSIS toolbox.

Can anyone help with this? I look forward to returning the favor.

Thanks.
