I made a script to run a vacuum full command throughout the night, but in the middle of the night the power went out, in the morning I went to open pgAdmin 3 to look at my database, it was giving an error saying that the postgres user no longer existed. With the postgres user delete I can't get my database anymore by gAdmin 3, I already got it with all the data I couldn't find a solution. How can I recover my database?

  • If a power outage caused your user to vanish, it probably trashed everything else as well. Look in the database log file to see if you can find more info. pgAdmin is the wrong tool to be using to investigate this.
