I have following setup:

  • Primary InnoDB Cluster with 3 instances(following Group Replication Protocol), R/W setting.
  • Replica InnoDB Cluster with 3 instances(following Group Replication Protocol), R/O setting.

The Primary Cluster and Replica Clusters follow Async Replication Protocol.

I want to delay the async replication from primary to replica cluster.

I am not able to find any variable or setting to do so.

Please note: The primary and replica are InnoDB Clusters.

I assume you are using InnoDB ClusterSet. Currently, it's not supported to configure delayed replication in such architecture.

You can configure it manually, however, you must understand the consequences of it, namely the ones regarding stale data. MySQL Router is not yet configurable to manage that kind of setup.

To configure the channel, use: change replication source to source_delay=600 for channel 'clusterset_replication'.
