I am using PostgreSQL 15.4 on Ubuntu 22.04. Initially, I used pgAdmin 4 for managing the database. However, I've been facing an issue where pgAdmin stops responding after some time. This issue seems to be related to a potential timeout caused by the server. It appears that the timeout occurs after around 10 minutes, which is when pgAdmin becomes unresponsive. To resolve this, I need to disconnect from the server and then reconnect, or I have to close pgAdmin and restart it. This has become quite tedious as this happens roughly every 10 minutes (though I'm not entirely sure about the exact interval).
Interestingly, my teammates don't encounter this problem and can use pgAdmin for 4-5 hours straight without any issues. This leads me to believe that there might be something specific to my setup causing this.
In an attempt to troubleshoot, I even uninstalled the pgAdmin desktop version and tried using the web version, but the issue persisted – the interface kept endlessly reloading. I then tried using a different administration tool, like DBeaver, but unfortunately encountered the same problem again.
Has anyone faced a similar issue with PostgreSQL server timeouts causing problems with database management tools? Is there a solution or a way to diagnose and fix this problem? I would greatly appreciate any insights or suggestions.
