I have a basic Java program which can list data from Berkeley DB database. The question is how I can list the database scheme to see what object are available? Unfortunately I don't have information what is the design of the database.

Please clarify your specific problem or add additional details to highlight exactly what you need. As it's currently written, it’s hard to tell exactly what you're asking. See the How to Ask page for help clarifying this question. If this question can be reworded to fit the rules in the help center, please edit the question.

You could try RTF(ine)Manual. Start here. This line is worthy of attention in your case "Berkeley DB has no notion of schema and data types in the way that relational systems do".

  • Ok, but how I can get data from Berkeley DB with Java? – user1285928 May 31 '14 at 15:17
  • You said in your question "I have a basic Java program which can list data from Berkeley DB database". I thought that meant that you could get data but that you wanted something more sophisticated, i.e. schemas and suchlike. I'm not an expert but that, to me, means that (not in a nasty way) that you're on your own - you have to "write your own schema" (my own words in the quote) and manage it. – Vérace May 31 '14 at 15:30
