In my environment Oracle 11g version 11.2.0.1 was installed and it was working ok. Now I am considering upgrading to version 11.2.0.2.

What is the main difference between 11.2.0.1 and 11.2.0.2.

  • @Rajesh welcome to the site - I hope you don't mind my edits intended to clarify what you are asking. I've assumed you have not yet upgraded, is that right? If so please let us know what your reasons are for considering the upgrade? – Jack Douglas Nov 7 '11 at 11:48
  • -1 since you have not shown that you even attempted to look at Oracle's website for the information, never mind even attempting a Google Search for the information. – Max Vernon Sep 12 '12 at 19:36

You should probably start with the New Features Guide and in particular the section on 11.2.0.2.

Note that:

  1. 11.2.0.2 is a minor release so for most purposes it will not be much different to 11.2.0.1
  2. depending on your platform, 11.2.0.2 may not be the latest available (eg 11.2.0.3 on Linux)
