I have hosted the Digital Ocean one mysql host with the configuration of 60GB of HD and 4GB of RAM. Some days the database stopped accepting new connections then started a investigation and found that the configuration of this database to the default mysql database structure where all data is in the file / var / lib / mysql / ibdata1 that has size 738m. When I try to connect the database to perform backup and recovery procedure I get the error "ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root' @ 'localhost' (using password: YES)". I've tried adding force the recovery settings in the file /etc/mysql/my.cnf "innodb_force_recovery = 10 innodb_buffer_pool_size = 1G "without success. you have any suggestions on how to solve this problem?

I would first try to resolve why you are getting 'wrong password' error. Since you have root access, try following to reset root password.

The skip-grant-tables can also be in my.cnf for restart.
