Availability Group database stays in Reverting for too long after a failover
This code always works for me in the similar situation:
ALTER DATABASE [Your Database] SET HADR SUSPEND;

TSQL Copy an existing database
Starting with SQL Server 2014 SP2 you can use the DBCC CLONEDATABASE command to duplicate an empty database. Here is a good primer on it

Distributed Availability groups & Listeners
Apparently it can be done in SQL 2016/2017. See Distributed Availability Groups. Still no automatic failover but there is one listener for both AG groups.
