A Network Listener waits for and responds to incoming network requests. Use this tag for questions about e.g. the Oracle Net Listener or SQL Server Availability Group Listener. Be sure to also tag the product name.
The Oracle Net Listener is a service listening for incoming database connection request. It is configured using the listener.ora file and controlled by the lsnrctl utility.
The SQL Server Availability Group Listener enables clients to access a database in a primary or secondary replica of an AlwaysOn availability group.
