First released on Dec 01, 2008, MySQL 5.1 introduces the following features
- InnoDB Plugin (version 5.1.38) : Settings available to tuning the InnoDb storage engine to summon a specific number of read threads, write threads, and a balancing factor for IOPs and insert buffer flushes.
- Log Output Destination : Let's you store the general log and slow log as either a text file, a MySQL table, or both.
