While most programmers started coding before they could walk, I was a late bloomer to the tech world. It wasn't until I pursued a degree in Management and Information Technology at the University of Kelaniya that I discovered my love for all things tech. Since then, I've been on a mission to upskill myself and explore new and exciting challenges.
I'm proud to call myself a Data Engineering professional, with a knack for Python and a black belt in SQL. I'm a big fan of cloud services, especially Azure and AWS, and love building efficient pipelines with Airflow, Spark, and Databricks. Speaking of Databricks, have you checked out their Lakehouse architecture? It's like the Avengers of data platforms - powerful and revolutionary.
I'm all about building cloud-agnostic data pipelines and exploring the intersection of Software Engineering and Data Engineering. Flask, Docker, and Kubernetes are my trusty sidekicks in this adventure, helping me to create efficient, scalable solutions that would make even Iron Man proud.
I've earned my stripes in the tech world with certifications in Azure, Databricks, and AWS Solutions Architect Associate.
I started my journey as a humble Open Source Contributor, making small contributions and gradually building my way up to a Communinty Maintainer at MindsDB. Today, I'm proud to say that I'm work as a Data Integrations Enginner for them, where I collaborate with fellow tech enthusiasts. Contributing to the open source community has been a fulfilling experience that has allowed me to stay on top of the latest tech trends while giving back to the community that has given me so much.
My ultimate goal is to become a Solutions Architect and build end-to-end data solutions that are out of this world.
